In this part of Texas, we do not get much in the way of snow, especially at Christmas time.  Well 2009 went out of it’s way to keep us on our toes with snow on both Christmas Eve and New Years Day.  The Christmas Eve snow was really icy and made the roads treacherous but the kids made sure to enjoy it.  New Years Day snow was, as seen in the images above, big, wet, fluffy flakes – perfect for a snowman or snowball fight.  The kids were so sad that it all melted overnight!

We’re used to snow here – we get tons of it every winter. Don’t have a lot on the ground right now though – no fun for the kids.

    Happy WW! :)

We’ve had a bit more than we have had in the past. I am in IL, just south of Chicago, we are getting the cold weather now,it got a little icky around news years, while we were helping daughter move back home and move furniture to storage.. froze my tush off in the cold those 4 day. I am also getting prepared for a big dump of snow.. we are soooo long overdue on a blizzard here.
