I love our Christmas Tree. Every year it looks different. Brett does the lights and I help unwrap the ornaments while the girls decorate it. This is the first year that we haven’t had to put all of the breakable and fragile ornaments up at the top. Little hands you know. lol

We have a party where we invite friends on the odd years so this was P1′s year. We also have a special meal at home on the red dishes. This year the party with friends was a Rainbow Party and lots of friends and the Red Dish Dinner was at Grammies complete with Freezer Mac and Cheese and Oreos. Yum!

Recently we went on a short, fun family vacation out to East TX and stayed at a friend’s home on Lake Palestine. While we had some heat and sunshine,we had some rainy days too.
One of the rainy days we went to see ToyStory 3 and on another, we went to Tyler, to visit the Discovery Science Place, THE BEST kids museum we have ever been to. We ALL had a ball!

In this part of Texas, we do not get much in the way of snow, especially at Christmas time. Well 2009 went out of it’s way to keep us on our toes with snow on both Christmas Eve and New Years Day. The Christmas Eve snow was really icy and made the roads treacherous but the kids made sure to enjoy it. Last year, Mom came up and we girls made Graham Cracker Houses. The girls LOVED it and it was super fun and easy with minimal stress for all involved.
We used empty Whipping Cream containers and ‘glued’ graham crackers on with frosting.
Then we gave them their ‘supplies’ and let them go to town! Supplies for us included Hershey’s Kisses, Animal Crackers, Goldfish, Gummie Bears, sprinkles of various colors, squirty frosting and icing of various colors….all things I had on hand and wanted to use up.:)

P1 recently had her birthday and almost the only thing she wanted was a Nintendo DS, preferably in pink.
