Simple Sunday 3/29

29 March 2009

simplesundaysbest 11 Simple Sunday 3/29 And a happy Sunday to you! Since Sunday is the beginning of a new week, it seems like a perfect time to share the things I have found throughout the past week. So here we go…some of my favorites!

Flip’n Fridays - Since Flip video cameras are all the rage, this fun new meme from Cat seems like the perfect fun addition.

How to Wear a Seatbelt – Seems like something very mundane and obvious, right?  But how many of us actually wear them or put them on our kids correctly, for optimum safety?

Leave Your Pessimism at the Door - A great article by Clarissa of Diary of a Poshprenuer and a great reminder for us all!

Texas Ranch Cowboy – I have made no secret that I love horse, cattle and cowboys.  There is just something about them that I can relate to and settles my soul.  Lori, the Cowboy’s Wife, is not only a talented blogger bt a great photographer and this week she shared an awesome picture of her favorite cowboy, her hubby.  You have to see it to believe it!

Children’s Snack Ideas – Veggies! -  If you are like me, you are often searching for what to give your kids that is fun, tasty and nutritious, and something that they just might eat.  Check out Toni’s great ideas over on Mud Bug.

So there you go, this weeks rendition of Simple Sundays.  What did YOU find this week?

Remember, the way it works is you decide what you want to share.  It could be one, five, ten or more!  It is totally up to you!  They can be images, posts, sites, events – you name it!  Anything or anyone that you would want to share and give some bloggy love to.  Post it on your blog, slap this button on there, and link back via good ol’ Mr. Linky.  Then let’s do it all again next week!

Awwww, that means a lot to me:) People think I’m modest about stuff like that (and I am) but I do tend to doubt my skills sometimes. Thank you for the kind words and it makes me feel good that it makes YOU feel something.

Speaking of kids snacks…hubby and I were in a Super Target today and saw kid’s snack packs in the veggie refrigerated section. There were several different combinations of celery, apple slices, raisins, peanut butter, and cheese cubes. Some of them were packaged by Disney in Mickie “ears plates”. They’re probably too expensive for everyday, but a great idea for a snack on the road or a special treat. I know my 6 yo grandson who loves to take road trips with grandma will love it when I pull these out of the snack bag! I’m so glad to see an easy alternative to candy and other sugary treats.
