Over the River and Through the Woods ~ Safely

18 December 2009

Lately while I have been waiting to pick up my kids at school, I have been really disturbed by some of the seating arrangements I have seen.  Parents allowing their Elementary age kids to sit in the front seat, some without seatbelts, some getting in vehicles without enough seatbelts and the list goes on.

And did you know that more than 32 million Americans will be on the road during the holiday? Don’t forget to make safety your number one priority during your journeys.

A recent study published by the American Academy of Pediatrics reported that, in the event of a crash, children 4 to 8 years old who use a belt-positioning booster seat are 45 percent less likely to sustain injuries than children who simply use a vehicle seat belt.  Statistics like that make it tons easier for me to enforce the safety rules in our cars.

With may of us getting ready to travel for the Holidays, I wanted to share these Holiday Driving Safety Tips from Evenflo.
