Harry Connick Jr’s new CD – Your Songs is being released today, October 12th and I think it is the perfect album to to relax to. Those cute girls over at One2One Network sent me an early copy to listen too and I have really enjoyed getting acquainted with it.  His voice and song choices are usually pretty jazz/blues – not my typical taste – but he has always delivered them with such a warm, rich tone that I cannot help but like them.  Your Songs goes down a different avenue but with the same result.  Pretty much a cover album but with songs that are sure to provide pleasant memories for people of all ages.

And of course, since he and wife/model Jill Goodacre, have three daughters ages 7-13, he is a 3P’s Favorite for that reason alone!

My Review: The best place for me to listen to a CD is in my minivan and usually while picking up or dropping off my girls at school (an hour long process in the afternoons!)  As I turned Your Songs on, I immediately had a smile on my face, hearing many of the songs my mom played as I was growing up.   If I had to choose a few favorites, I guess they would be All the Way, Just the Way You Are, Besame Mucho, and The Way You Look Tonight. Harry provides a heartwarming rendition of them all, making me feel like he was singing them just for me.  Now you tell me, what girl wouldn’t love that?!
