My Wonderful Walls (ENDED)

1 April 2009

THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED AND COMMENTS ARE CLOSED

Since this was a joint giveaway with What’s That Smell?, we pulled a finalist from each site and then a winner from those 2.

The winner is:
#132 from the entries on 3 P’s: Teresha

This past weekend was crazy busy in our house as we did our version of Spring Cleaning – overhauling and changing the girls’ rooms around.  P1 and P2 have decide to become roommates, something we have our doubts about to some degree but know, as semi-wise parents that it is in both of their best interest.  They are now going to be in P1’s room.  Not to be left out, P3 will be taking up residence in P2’s room, leaving her beautiful Ladybug room behind as the playroom.  P3 moved into P2’s bed as the white furniture in there goes best with the current paint and decor and P2 and P1 are now the proud owners of a nice bunkbed set.P1s roomP1s room

In an effort to decrease the feeling of P2 being the interloper into P1’s domain, we decided to change the decor a bit.  When we moved in to our home in December of 2003, we painted P1’s room top-to-bottom a fantastic shade of Stawberry fluff pink.  I then painted by hand, a white picket fence, complete with flowers and butterflies.  Now we opted to paint the bottom part of the walls a fantastic shade of lavender as pink is P1’s favorite color and Lavender is P2’s.  Of course, the last thing my two princesses wanted though was a b*o*r*i*n*g room.  Oh no!  So I had to get creative again.

I would love to take the flower theme stencil kit and make my daughter’s room a magical place. They already have a pink/yellow butterfly theme so the big tree and extra butterflies with the kit would make it all pull together.

The transportation theme stencils would provide a gift for an elementary school, to promote learning on many levels…in a hallway where children wait and line up for lunch…I think it would open their eyes and delight them, the images would encourage thoughts, begin conversations and let their imaginations “fly”…as opposed to looking at blank walls!

I looked at all three mural stencil kits and thought not about what I could do in my playroom, but about what my daughter or daughter-in-law could do in one of the children’s bedrooms. My daughter is using a transportation theme in her nursery for her upcoming son and I can just imagine it with little red fire trucks with their ladders up and a bright train chugging along over the crib. For my daughter-in-law’s baby girl, I can just imagine the flower theme in bright pinks and lavenders with the tree climbing the corner of her room and flowers sprinkled all around. What a great idea!

I’d go with the Flower Theme Stencil kit!! I Love it! These don’t come with paint though do they? You have to buy your own paint! Thanks

I like their idea of painting on the ceiling! I’m not very handy, but I know I could use their convenient kit to create something beautiful :)

I would love to use the flower kit to enhance our playroom. Right now it’s painted with a big tree and sky, etc. but this would look great in there!

I would love the Clown fish stencil kit. My sons room is an underwater theme. His walls are light blue so it would look like there were fish in the sea. He loves fish. He also loves all sea creatures like sea horses and octopuses. I guess I would love to get a few of the underwater stencil kits and mix and match.

I’d use the “Splendid Garden” Flower Theme Stencil Kit For Decorating a Girl’s Room or Nursery for my bathroom (won’t fit in the kids’ bathrooms and I want it for myself.) How cool would that be? Waking up to lots of flowers.
