If you are a regular reader here, you have heard me rumbling about some behavioural issues we have been having with P1, our bright and shiny 7 year old.  She is as smart as a whip and twice as sassy these days.  Some of that is to her benefit and some, yeah, well, not so much.  She has always been a very emotional child.  On the positive side, she can have the most tender of hearts and give you an all-encompassing hug that you can see, feel hear and taste, it is so sincere.  On the negative, well that same heart gets hurt far too easily and since she is a participant in threesome of 1st grade girls, she is often either the subject-or or subject-ee when it comes to hurt feelings.  She is also in serious need of learning to manage her anger better.

After talking with many moms of girls around the same age, I am learning that this behavior is not all that atypical for her age which is somewhat reassuring. We are working on all of this but I  just about jumped for joy when I was offered the opportunity to review a product by Susan T.  Howard, author, creator and coach called Manifest Your Magnificence.

I am Positive!

Manifest Your Magnificence is a unique set of 64 affirmation cards and audio CD designed specifically to nurture a child’s self-esteem, something that I truly think may just be at the bottom of P1′s issue.

I opted to receive the cards.  They are so fun and interesting, full of bright, colorful images and messages. I could not wait to open them when they arrived and surprise each of my girls with them.  Children can be so mean to each other, even siblings and I believe it is our job as parents to really teach our children that no matter what others tell us, each of us is unique and wonderful, truly one of a kind and of divine worth. (Hmm, sounds like certain values I once was taught as a teenager…:)

Manifest Your Magnificence

I am happy to report that  kids loved the cards and the bright, happy messages they contain. I have been telling my girls fun stories about a Panda Bear named Abby lately and funny, but these messages seem to now find their way into our stories and adventures with Abby.:)manifest1 Manifest Your Magnificence! Susan recomends the following uses for the cords ~

These wonderful cards can be used in many ways to remind children that they are Magnificent Creations. Once the child picks a card, you can reinforce the power of the affirmation by having the child express how it relates to them by:

  • writing, talking, drawing
  • singing, acting, dancing
  • carrying a card with them as a reminder of who
    they truly are

I am sure the possibilities are as endless as the wonders that are our children.

Intended for children approximately 6-12, the cards are about 4 x 4 so a nice size to slip in a lunch box or math book as a surprise bookmark.  They are made out of good, durable cardstock material and a glossy lamination with images on both the front and the back.  Currently the messages come in the card format or as a cd and run about $15.95.  You can purchase Manifest Your Magnificence cards, as well as audio CD’s at http://www.magnificentcreations.com.

Thanks to the Family Review Network and Magnificent Creations for allowing me a chance to review this fantastic product.
