Lovin’ La Choy Review
Having a Chinese child has changed many things in our home from the Holidays we celebrate (Chinese New Year, for example) to some of the meals we eat. One instance here is the fact that I include rice in many more of our meals than ever before. Now lately, with my emotional ups and downs and what have you, I have been trying to buy the items for meals that are quick and easy so Brett doesn’t have to come home and having to cook the entire meal himself.
Well, recently we were sent the La Choy Creations Asian Fried Rice to try by Mom Central. It came in a box and all that it required on my part was to add some chicken that I had on hand. Basically, I cooked the chicken, cut it up in small pieces then added the ingredients from the La Choy Creations box and followed the remaining directions. Viola! Asian Fried Rice with chicken in about 20 minutes. While Brett will never confess to actually loving any dish with rice in it, this was one that I can make again and the girls all gave it 3 thumbs up!
In addition to the Asian Fried Rice from LaChoy, there is Teriyaki Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken. These could be used as complete meals or as a side dish to just about any meal. The portion size is good size however, so keep that in mind while making your decisions.
You can also save $1 on any La Choy Creations meal with this printable coupon. Check out some tasty recipe ideas at the La Choy website like Chocolate Haystacks and Asian Lettuce Wraps.
I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of La Choy and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
