I Am Me and You Are You (Review)
This wonderful little book took me quite by surprise and it it may you as well. New on the market, written by Eva Marie Cote and illustrated by Tom Myers, it is an unassuming little paperback that I was contacted by the illustrator about. He wondered if I would take a little time and look over it and give them my opinion so I said sure, especially since I knew I had Book Week coming up.
When the book arrived, I instantly knew with P3′s birthday being days away, I had to add I Am Me and You Are You as one of her gifts.
“It’s good to be just who you areyou’re made a special wayyour ears, your eyes, your arms and legs, they say ‘I’m me! Yay, Yay!’ “
The message perfect message is shown through silly and happy looking animals. They make the point very well that it would be wrong for them to be anything other than what they were born to be and that that is alright. Ms. Cote’s rhyming is very reminiscent to me of Dr. Seuss, making the book all the more endearing.
I Am Me and You Are You can be purchased online at Amazon.com for about $5.95 ~ the perfect addition to any child’s library of books.

Thanks for featuring this book – I was looking for a book to give to my twin nephews who are 4 years old and have started school. This would be perfect for them!
