How to Fund an Adoption – Shopping Adoption-Style!
When you are waiting for your precious child, it can seem like forever and as we all know, money does not grow on trees. Most adoptive families get very, very creative in ways to save, find and/or make the money they will need for the expenses that just normally accrue with the adoption of a child. In our case, we held some awesome garage sales, saved, and incurred some debt. We were incredibly blessed by the kindness and generosity of others and will be forever grateful.
Listed here are some of the wonderful activities some of my friends are having while saving for their precious angel(s) to come home. Please consider shopping from them this Holiday Season.
This is my good, personal friend Robin who has helped to keep my Paige decked out from head to toe. Her sewing is unparalleled and her heart is as big as Texas! Her newest girls are home now and she bends over backward to support other adopting families.
This blog showcases items from my boutique, Fly Away Home Clothing…which supports the adoption of my daughter Olivia, adopted from China in 2006…and the adoption of her mei-mei.We just received a referral for a little girl in Beijing! She is 16 months old and adorable!
Thank you for visiting my site Today! My designs are my Passion with a Purpose & when you purchase items from Junk Posse you help to support several non-profit groups and Adoption in several ways.
My name is Cora. My husband, Jim and I are adopting from China and Burrundi. We were logged in with China on 4/25/07 and at the rate China is referring babies to adoptive parents it is going to be a long, long wait. We hope to complete our Burundi adoption much sooner (hopefully this year) This will be our first child. I have been making flannel baby blankets for a while now mostly just for something to do. I have also started to make a few clothes and other things. I have decided to sell some of them to help fund our adoptions.
“Sara Beth Bows” was started in January 2007 as a way to help raise funds for our China adoption. While the wait to be matched with our daughter, who we will name Sara Beth, seems to go on forever, we trust that God will bring us to her in His perfect time. Thank you for taking a look at our bows and helping to bring Sara Beth home, one bow at a time!
I am a mom and homeschooler to 3 wonderful children. We have 2 biological boys and one daughter we adopted from China in 2007. We are now finishing our paperwork to adopt our second special needs daughter from China. This blog has 2 purposes – one to write about the journey and the second is to sell childrens clothing I sew to help pay for our adoption expenses
One of the things I was excited to do when we opened Livi Lu Originals was to help others through our blessings. The first thing we did was to begin sponsoring a little girl named Olive who lives in a foster home in China. She is sponsored through Grace & Hope for Children. I encourage you to click on the link and look at the beautiful children who are still in need of help.

We need to sell 5,000 bags of coffee or tea in the next 4 weeks to raise the funds needed to bring Selah home. With Christmas just 5 weeks away, our coffee or tea will make a great holiday treat for you and everyone on your list. Each bag sells for $10-$13, and shipping is a flat rate of $5 (continental U.S.), no matter how many bags you order. Plus, out of every 500 bags sold, one lucky winner will be chosen to receive an iPod shuffle! Every bag counts as an entry, and donations count too. The more bags you buy, the more likely you are to win.
We are a very happy family, but right now our hearts are in China with our beautiful daughter Lucy Lei. Lucy Lei needs medical care right away so we are earnestly praying that God will speed her to us and heal her heart!
my two little miracles… Nicholas Mikhail and Hannah MeiLin. Nicholas was born in Russia and Hannah was born in China… We are waiting on the Lord to bring our Isabella home from China. They are the Jewels of My Heart.
Daughter, sister, dog and cat lover, part time photographer and mom to our little girl from China- Ellis Gao Mei!
We are so grateful.
Yours are the hands that have brought
us one step closer to our little girl.

We’re the Ambrose family, and we’re super-excited about adopting our little girl from China. We officially started our adoption journey at the end of 2008, and our dossier was logged in to the China Center for Adoption Affairs in August 21, 2009. Now we’re anxiously waiting to be matched with our daughter.
We’re raising funds to help with our orphanage donation fee to be paid when we travel. Thank you so much for browsing our fundraiser store. Every shirt we sell makes a difference and will help us bring
our little ladybug home.

We are blessed!
Welcome to my fundraising blog. My husband and I are in the process of adopting our sixth child, third special need daughter from China. Hard to believe but only 700 headbands seperate us from our daughter. Become a part of helping us bring her home.
Beautiful romantic headbands for your daughter or yourself. Could also be used as belts. Carefully hand braided with a 3″ flower decoration. Will fray over time and look gorgeous and shabby chic.

God touched our hearts through adoption and bridged an Ocean to bring us our Noah! Noah entered our arms and family September 8, 2008! Please Join us for the journey of LIFE WITH NOAH and now our JOURNEY TO JEREMIAH! We can’t wait to add Jeremiah to our family!
November 3, 2007~September 8, 2008

AND THE NEW WAIT BEGINS THE JOURNEY TO JEREMIAH!!!
Jeremiah We are coming baby!
After all the grant proceeds have been applied, garage sale and decal funds, love offerings tallied, we still owe $14,000 on our most recent adoption process. That means that God has already provided more than half of what we needed since August 2007! We believe He will provide the rest as well.
We are Matt and Mandi and have been married for 13 years. We have been blessed with 3 bio kids, Blake 11, Emma 6, and Gabe who just turned 5. Ever since I can remember I have wanted a daughter from China. I knew someday my dream would come true, it was just a question of when. With the love and support of my husband, we turned our dream into a reality when we welcomed Mylee Zhao Lu-Ann into our family on May 12, 2008. Once we added Mylee to our family we were certain our family was complete. However, God had different plans. Soon after returning home with Mylee my heart was once again being led to adopt. After a few months of praying, and not so patiently waiting for God to tug at Matt’s heart again, we stepped out in FAITH to bring home our son. Shortly after sending in our LOI we learned that Drew was at New Day Foster Home. This is probably the biggest leap of Faith we have taken in our marriage, but we are certain God will provide just as He did to bring Mylee home. Please follow us as our journey continues…
Anthony and Adeye are blessed with five children. Three biological boys and two daughters adopted from China. Both have special needs. They are a homeschooling family who live in Colorado.
The first time Anthony and Adeye laid eyes on Violet their hearts almost stopped. Were they looking at the right child? Was she really four years old? She looked more like an infant. They inquired and got their answer–she was indeed four! How could it be? How could a four year old weigh only 15-20 pounds? She is a virtual baby. After much prayer and seeking God on their role, they finally got their answer from heaven?GO!
They heard the call and are going?to bring home this precious and most adorable little angel. God has been so faithful to provide for their two previous adoption?they know He will do it again.
Violet will soon be known as Hailee–”heroine”–because she will overcome many obstacles. She will be victorious!
I could go on and on, posting and posting but as you can see, there are many, MANY little and some not so little ones waiting to come home. As I said before, please consider shopping from a waiting family this Christmas Season!
