Hemerrhoids Need Tucks

Not a pretty subject.  Yet ask anyone who has experienced them and the will remember them quite vividly.  Whether a man with bowel trouble or a very pregnant lady, when the veins in your rectal area, or near the anus, become swollen, a hemorrhoid occurs. The infected region of your backside may be tender to the touch and you may feel a bump where there shouldn’t be one. More serious symptoms of hemorrhoids include painful itching, broken skin, and bleeding.  Uuuggghh.  I shiver at the thought.  Thankfully I never have had the joy but I have been around 2 people who have and I know they would have given A*N*Y*T*H*I*N*G for quick relief.

Thankfully, there are products like Tucks to help bring that relief.  Dye-free, and containing the astringent Witch Hazel, Tucks Medicated Pads help relieve irritation and burning due to hemorrhoids.

Tucks Hemorrhoidal Ointment, Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Ointment and Medicated Pads can help with the discomfort, burning, itching and other side effects that hemorrhoids bring with them. Tucks also has a line of Take Alongs, medicated towelettes that give you a convenient way to treat hemorrhoid symptoms on the go.  These pads can be disposed of in both septic and sewer systems. Tucks Medicated Pads are available in 40’s, 100’s and Take Along 12’s which are individually packed for convenience.

Now, they are not an immediate ‘cure’…it can take two weeks or more for hemorrhoids to go away, but they can soothe the itching, swelling and pain associated with hemorrhoids. (Visit your doctor may be in order for more serious symptoms.) Some people, like my hubby, found that the Tucks may sting upon initial use but the overall relief was worth it in the long run.

Now, I hope never to need them (nor you!) but they are readily available without a prescription at both at your local drug store and online at places like Drugstore.com ranging in price from $3.99 to $14.99, depending on the product.

Tucks pads are great! Unfortunatley, I have had severe hemmorhoids since childhood, and finally had a hemmohoidectomy at age 19. Also, Metamucil will help you to stay unconstipated, and helps to relieve hemmohoids also

Tucks are also amazing after you have given birth (especially if you have an episiotomy)!
