To enjoy the 3D effect of Nintendo 3DS software, you must experience it from the system itself. All screenshots and videos seen here have been captured in 2D mode. Use Parental Controls to restrict 3D mode for children 6 and under.  Please note that a regular DS (or any of its refurbishments, like the DSi) will not be able to play a 3DS game. The 3DS is a completely new system therefore this game is only for use in a Nintendo 3DS. There is a version available for other DS systems.

My Take On It:

This is an amazing game.  No more 2 dimensional patterns and design restrictions as in previous Fashion Designer-type games.  With this, if you can imagine it, you can really see it. It is great at promoting creativity, giving positive feedback and mentoring girls to reach for the stars.  The storyline of being an up and coming teen fashion designer is very appealing to tween girls and once you have gone through the tutorial, you are pretty much ready to play to your hearts content.  Some of the mini games are a little difficult but with practice they get easier plus you can avoid them is you just want to jump on into designing.  There are some free bonus outfits available online.  Just check the game booklet for details. The only thing that I considered a drawback is that as it is written for the 3DS, you cannot play it on any DS version other than the 3DS…but that is Nintendo’s doing, not Ubisoft.  Would I recommend buying it?  As long as your daughter has a 3DS, you bet!
