Dysfunctional Family Thanksgiving Movie Trivia Contest
This Contest Has Ended. Congratulations to KIM!!!
(Oh and the answers are below as well!)
So, did you survive? No, I am not talking about the Turkey or the Football or even the crazed shoppers. I am talking about one thing. Yeah, you know what it is….FAMILY. And nothing brings out the crazy in us all like our family’s during the Holidays.
Well, for fun, BLOCKBUSTER has a list of movies that will help you see that everything is relative. According to BLOCKBUSTER’s Dysfunctional Family Poll, “Nobody’s Fool,” featuring Paul Newman as Sully, a cranky, sarcastic patriarch whose son and grandson unexpectedly show up for Thanksgiving dinner tops the list as the most dysfunctional turkey day. A close second is “Planes, Trains & Automobiles,” which features Steve Martin struggling to get home for Thanksgiving while being unavoidably accompanied by the endlessly irritating shower curtain-ring salesman Del Griffith, played by John Candy.
According to the poll conducted this month and which received approximately 8,800 responses, the remainder are:
- Nobody’s Fool
- Planes, Trains and Automobiles
- Home for the Holidays
- Scent of a Woman
- Pieces of April
- The Ice Storm
- Hannah and Her Sisters
- The House of Yes
Now, if you have been here at 3Ps in a Pod long enough, you have probably figured out that I love to try and make people laugh AND I love movies. So here is what we are going to do. I have some trivia questions from the Top 8 Movies from BLOCKBUSTER’s Dysfunctional Family Poll.
You then take a few minutes and send me an email with the correct answers at 3girlzmama at gmail dot com with BLOCKBUSTER’s Dysfunctional Family Thanksgiving in the subject line. The person with the most correct answers will be the winner of the trivia contest! The winner will receive a Surviving the Holidays Prize Pack which includes a $10 BLOCKBUSTER gift card and two movies from the Dysfunctional Family Movie list.
Now remember, BLOCKBUSTER stores are open this weekend, so you can pick up these titles and more for a fun-filled day of entertainment. While you are there, they are also having some unbeatable deals that may be just what you need for a gift on someone’s Holiday Wish List!
