I was raised that you always keep your pantry stocked so you have what you need when you need it. So, keeping my pantry shelves full is heart and soul when it comes to shopping. That includes lot and lots of Dole Canned Fruit.

Since I homeschool my two daughters, we have Dole canned fruit everyday as dessert at lunch. Fruit cups, mandarine oranges, and sliced peaches made every luch special. Plus we use Dole canned fruit to make fruit smoothies with frozen yogurt and vanilla ice cream. Not to mention my delicious (yes, I’m bragging) fruit salad made with fruit cocktail, mandarine oranges, extra pineapple and even fresh Dole bananas.

A few days ago my eldest daughter asked me about buy name brands items versus generic or store brands. My answer? I told her that on some occasions, a store brand might serve it’s purpose, but never when buying canned fruits and vegetables. Sacrifice on price and you scarifice on quality and flavor. Speaking from experience here, cheap products taste cheap and look even cheaper.

For our money, for our pantry, and just for the deliciousness of it, Dole Canned Fruit is the one and only.
