Disclosure, Privacy and Modus Operandi

My Full Disclosure as well as Modus Operandi:

To be in my best possible compliance with the current FTC ruling that all bloggers need to disclose if they are being paid or compensated for their posts, the following is my complete disclosure policy and how I have chosen to do business:

3Ps in a Pod is a blog written and edited by me, Alyson LaBarge. The primary purposes of my blog are:

  1. Promote items and ideas that make Mom’s lives easier.
  2. Support Humanitarian projects including adoption.
  3. Advocate good health practices and education.

Everything I do here will be with my family and these three purposes in mind.

I choose to only work with companies that I can believe in. This blog does not contain any content which might present a conflict of interest. My husband works for PepsiCo in their IT Division and all sponsors are made aware of that ahead of time.

When I write a post, I often quote the sponsor or manufacturer’s website. I am not responsible for incorrect information posted on their sites. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.

Product sample(s) for review sent in exchange for a review will not be returned to the providing company and will become my sole property from then on unless prior arrangements were agreed upon between both the sponsor and myself. Additionally, item(s) to be provided as a prize in any giveaway or contest that I host will be shipped by the sponsor only.

I announce giveaway winners in the original giveaway post and email the winner. If there is any deviation from this practice, I will note it in the giveaway rules in the individual post. Please be sure you add 3girlzmama (at)gmail(dot)com to your address book to insure you receive my emails. I cannot be responsible for emails that are lost in spam folders or do not make it through cyberspace. I advise checking the post as well.

3Ps in a Pod accepts advertising in the form of those generated by a third party ad network and in direct forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions or other forms of compensation. The advertisements will be identified as paid advertisement and any compensation agreed upon is for my time to create the content. I promise you that I will never be influenced by said compensation.

3Ps in a Pod also uses Affiliate links here. They provide me compensation should someone make a purchase through that link. Again, they do not sway my opinions nor my beliefs in any manner. I participate in sponsored tweets as well as occasionally tweeting a link as part of a campaign or promotion regarding a product I love.

Please note that we use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our Web site. These companies may use aggregated information (not including your name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other Web sites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices about not having this information used by these companies, click here: http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp

So what do my buttons mean?

BENEFITED REVIEWER
Benefited Disclosure, Privacy and Modus Operandi
The Benefited image means I was sent a product for review or the product was given to me for a giveaway. I want it to be clear that something was sent to me. Please read the entire disclosure so that you understand how I work!

COMPENSATED REVIEWER
Compensated Disclosure, Privacy and Modus Operandi

When you see this image, that means I was paid to create the content for this post. That means the time it took to create the content such as researching, writing, editing, and publishing. Again, read my entire disclosure to understand my standards.

PRODUCT PROVIDED

Provided final Disclosure, Privacy and Modus OperandiWhile my disclosure policy clearly states that I often receive product in exchange for review, there are also times where I may receive products, cash, gift cards, services, & trips, an item of “swag” while at an event, or similar non-monetary compensation. Even writing into the body of the post that these things were given to me, that may not be clear enough. I decided that a graphic at the end of a post showing that something other than a kind word was given to me prior to the post was a very clear, visual way to remove all doubt from the readers’ mind.

Remember, the views and opinions expressed on this blog are my own. I am a big believer in honesty and being trustworthy and want you, my readers, to be at ease, knowing that what is printed on 3Ps in a Pod is legitamte and truthful. If you have any questions, any concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at 3girlzmama [at]gmail [dot] com.
