coverPlug – A Fantastic Coverup! Review and Giveaway(Ended)
On the heels of my recent post about the Baby List book, let me tell you about another cool product I have been able to review ~ coverPlug. coverPlug is one of the more unique electrical outlet covers I have seen. They are designed to be “out of sight, out of mind” for toddlers and with a toddler like my P3 running around, well, they could not have been more timely.
P3 has become such a happy typical toddler and to her, exploration is the name of the game. Me, I get to try my darndest to help keep her safe but try as I might, I cannot have my eyes glued to her 24/7 and she can get into some very interesting, funny, and frightening situations just like that (*snap*).
P3 is not my first child and so we figured what had worked for the first two girls when it comes to electrical outlet covers, would work for P3 as well. Well, we were wrong. So far, no harm has been done(that we know of – insert eye roll) but I’ll be darned if she cannot manage to pry off those little individual plastic plug covers that it takes an adult a half an hour to uncork! You can see why I was very interested in trying these cover plugs out.
The coverPlugs are extremely easy to put to use (no tools needed) and have added benefits beyond making plugs semi-invisible to toddlers.th See, once you press the outlet cover into place and perhaps even paint it to match your wall, it becomes just a part of the wall. The coverPlug completely covers the entire outlet and faceplate, reducing hot or cold air leakage thus, saving you a little on your air and heating bills.
You can find coverPlug at a number of online retailers as low as $3.95 per plug. Click here to find a retailer.
Oh, and I am happy to report that ~ to date ~ P3 has left the wonderful new coverPlugs alone.:)
Want to try some out? Well, thanks to the generosity of Steve of coverPlug, I have 2 sets – 1 of 4 and 1 set of 2 to share with my wonderful readers – that is enough for a small/average sized room! Woot!
2/26 Edit: I had previously stated that there were 2 sets of 4 available but realized this morning that there were 6 total, thus 1 set of 2 and 1 set of 4. My bad…must be the drugs… or the headache… or both.

These coverplugs look fantastic, I like them because I do believe the kids would not even realize they are there. They blend in terrific. I have all of the little clear round plug covers, they work to a point. I still am afraid as I have seen little kiddos trying to take them out of the wall just because they are curious. I checked out the site, I love that you can paint them to match the room. Nice touch.
Thanks for the giveaway
I love that it’s the only child safety product that is made of a material that is paintable. Look forward to trying this out. Thanks for the giveaway!

I find it interesting that no tools are required, I wonder how well they will work.

It’s cool that you can paint them to blend in even more with your decor. Less intriguing for little fingers!!
