I love the Salvation Army.  They do good things for people and make it easy for the rest of us to bring out our best selves by caring about others.  I love it at this time of year when we to a store and the bell ringers are there, greeting you and hoping that you will your donation to the little red kettle.  I love to give my girls the chance to learn compassion and to have giving hearts when we see them by giving them whatever change or cash …

We have had quite the past couple of weeks.  My oldest daughter was being baptized on Oct 10 so we had family coming in from out of town.  Of course, Brett was gone Sunday through Wed late, my aunt arrived Tuesday and his parents arrived Thursday, not to mention it was a regular school week.  I had to finish the sleeves on P1’s dress and try to have the house in some semblance of order.

Well Texas, it is almost time for the weekend that some of us love and some of us detest – Tax Free Weekend (TFW).  Before I had kids, I avoided Tax Free Weekend like the plague.  It just was not worth the hassles and crowds to save that 8%.
Then, once I became a Mom and quickly had 2 in diapers, and I learned that baby clothes AND diapers were exempt from sales tax too on TFW, I made a point of visiting places like Babies r Us and saving on …

The Circus!  The Circus!! I Love the Circus!!!
It seems like it gets bigger and better every year. My parents took me often as a child and began the tradition all over again with my oldest daughter.  Now it is time for me to start that same  tradition for the rest of my family!!

Remember me telling you about Disney on Ice? Well, we got to go as well and we had a blast!  I was a little concerned about P3 getting bored or too tired – I could not have been more wrong!!  As one of the Feld Family Activators, we got to come to a special Meet & Greet with Mickey and Minnie before the show started and the girls could not have been more happily surprised.  It truly was a Magical Journey!

A couple of years ago, my mom surprised my two big girls and I and took us to see Disney on Ice when they came to Dallas.  It was fantastic and the girls LOVED every minute of it.  Disney On Ice shows get the audience totally involved – they are Disney, after all!  They feature exciting action, romance, comedy, athletic world-class skating, beloved Disney characters, and favorite Disney songs to which kids love and want to get up and dance with.
