Always (Book Review)

6 September 2010

“Do you love me when I finger-paint with toothpaste on the bathroom mirror? Do you love me when I go right to bed?  Do you love me when I don’t?”

As he goes through a day, a child asks the typical million questions of his mother to find reassurance. Does she love him when he’s gentle? How about when he’s not? Does she love him when he jumps in wet and muddy puddles while his new sneakers? The story continues on with more sweet yet simple childlike questions all in search of that same inevitable answer… Always.

I felt like Ms. Stott perfectly captured my heart and placed it within the confines of this darling  book and Mr. Phelan illustrated it perfectly.

Available at Amazon.com and other retailers for about $16.
