Kenny Loggin’s newest CD, All Join In is a fun and upbeat cd that can be enjoyed by the entire family – I know ours sure does!

The album – produced by Loggins and Jesse Seidenberg — includes fresh, creative takes of classics such as The Beatles’ “All Together Now” and “Two Of Us” (the latter being his first studio recording in decades with Jim Messina), Randy Newman’s “You’ve Got A Friend In Me,” The Del Vikings’ 1950′s classic “Come Go With Me,” the heart-warming ballad “Gandhi/Buddha” (Cheryl Wheeler), Traffic’s “You Can All Join In” (appropriately joined by the song’s writer and former Traffic member Dave Mason) and Donovan’s 1960′s classic “First There Is A Mountain.” Loggins’ 11-year old daughter Hana contributes vocals on “First There is A Mountain” and all five of his children provide backing vocals in various tracks throughout the album – perfect for the entire family.

OUR REVIEW

I have always loved Kenny Loggins CD’s but this new one is my hands down favorite.  I love how he sings about his own dog Moose, how he brought his buddy and past collaborator Jim Messina in and they sang 2 of Us and I could see them being just that way as kids.  I was enchanted with how he had his own children share their vocal talents on here but above all, the song Gandhi/Buddha expresses how I feel as a Mom about my precious girls  ~ that I must have really done something amazing to have deserved to be loved by them.

Loggins adds: “Even in a life that’s been so full of music, All Join In feels unique and meaningful to me, both as a musician and — perhaps even more so — as a parent myself.”

I hope you take a chance to listen to it and love it like we do!
