Don’t Give Up!

This waiting business is easier some days than others. Recently, one of our wonderful OCT2005DTC group members posted the following:

DON’T GIVE UP!!!! Remember when we thought we would never get our LID’s???? And, we did! I don’t want to get into my faith perspective because I don’t know where you stand there. But, I will say that each one of us has been called to this journey. There IS a little girl/boy waiting for you! You need to keep the faith. They NEED you to! The patience you are being forced to learn will benefit you at the end of the adoption race. You will appreciate the stamina it took to get you to your child!! She too will appreciate how long you waited, the tears you shed, and the hairs you pulled out in the process. It WILL make us more patient and understanding parents! And, who knows for sure…. The CCAA may surprise us all here in the next few months! And, if they don’t, there is a reason that you will never have the answer to!

I am cheering us all on in this crazy cycle of “the wait!” I promise to celebrate the successes, and to patiently be there in the lows. I heard a wonderful line yesterday from a waiting Mom from my agency…. “I will lift you all up in prayer, and watch the blessings fall!”

Hang in there! We are going to China eventually! Even if it is Christmas, I am going to enjoy the journey!!!

Thanks for the reminders Diana! We WILL get there!

So, so true! When the waiting gets too much, just think that she isn’t ready yet – but she will be. We had several delays as we were waiting for Mollianne and we can’t imagine any other little girl being her. Meisey will be the same way. Hang in there, my friend! Erin
